For years True Blue Golf Plantation was known as one of the hardest golf course in the Myrtle Beach area. Designer Mike Strantz was given few restrictions, and he chose to run with it, building one brute of a round of golf. True Blue was marketed as "Golf's Heaven and Hell" in its first two years on the map. And though the course has been softened in recent years to make it more duffer friendly, True Blue retains much of its initial bite. The first four and last four holes are some of the toughest in the areas, though in between there's a small respite from the beating True Blue is capable of handing even the seasoned golfer. Ultimately, True Blue is a solid option for mid to low handicappers on a Myrtle Beach golf trip.
