Wachesaw Plantation was once the site of two 19th-century rice plantations situated on the edge of the Waccamaw River near Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Today, Wachesaw Plantation is a private residential golf community. Much care has been taken to preserve the historic nature of this community, with its ongoing archaeological research and restoration. Amenities in Wachesaw Plantation include the 18-hole championship golf course designed by Tom Fazio, dining, lighted tennis courts, and a swimming pool complex.
